Get Involved/Volunteer

There are several ways a Christian Scientist can help our Committee do its work…

Chaplain Reports

Our Chaplains provide fruitage reports to both the Council and supporting churches…

CSIS OF NEW JERSEY

…has been serving inmates for ? years. This Committee supports

appointed Chaplains to serve those in New Jersey prisons as well as other institutions.  Currently Chaplains serve New Jersey prisons on a weekly basis; through regular Bible Study Groups, one on one visits with inmates, and communications with those writing for information on Christian Science. Periodicals are shared weekly; the Sentinel, The Christian Science

Monitor, the Herald, and the Full Text Bible Lessons in English, Spanish, and other languages.

CHAPLAINS SHARE FRUITAGE

Reports at the CSIS OF NJ meetings held in the Spring and the Fall.  These reports share some of the highlights of those finding spiritual answers, inmates finding  incredible healing, as well as finding dramatic change in their view of themselves and others in studying the Bible Lesson and Science and Health. Both the Bible and Science and Health are shared every week inside prison. Thousands of copies have been shared over these years within the walls of prison and continue to be shared each week.
